Victoria Herbert, Primary Therapist
Victoria’s work in the behavioral health field stretches over two decades of assisting children, adolescents, men, and women to lean into their preferred way of living.
Victoria has dedicated nearly two decades of her career to New Directions for Women focusing on gender-specific care. Victoria is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Addiction Specialist, who completed her degree with Vanguard University of Southern California.
Her studies in child development and family systems have led Victoria to seek opportunities to use her skills and gifts to work with individuals, couples, and families. Victoria has training in Wellbriety, a culturally based teaching from indigenous people, for people of all backgrounds to understand recovery from the Medicine Wheel teachings on human development, natural principals, laws and values governing Mother Earth, cycles of change, 12 steps of recovery, and healing from grief and loss through the teachings from Mending Broken Hearts.
Wellbriety brings cultural awareness and connection to individuals and their ancestral teachings. Victoria is also trained in Narrative Therapy, DBT, and EMDR. As foundational theories at New Directions for Women, she is passionate about helping individuals define what recovery and wellness mean to them and to incorporate loved ones into that process.
