Meet Our Administrative Team
Rebecca J. Flood, MHS, LCADC, NCACII, BRI II Executive Director / CEO
In her more than 34 years of experience in the health care industry, Becky Flood has demonstrated expertise in program development, implementation, and evaluation when she was with Seabrook House in Seabrook, New Jersey for over a quarter of a century. As Vice President of Treatment Services there, she oversaw the organization’s residential treatment programs and the planning of specialized treatment for women, adolescents, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. As Executive Director/CEO of New Directions for Women since 2004, her expertise has been used exclusively to issues relating to women of all ages, pregnant women in any trimester, and women with dependent children affected by addiction. Ms Flood earned her Masters degree in Human Services from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, is a Nationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (NCAC II), Board Registered Inventionist 2 (BRI II), and a Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). Additionally she has always been committed to giving back to the field and has given of her time, talent, and treasure by serving on boards, providing training at national conferences, and serving as a CARF surveyor. She currently serves as a member of the NAATP Board, Seabrook House Board, President of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS), and volunteers on the Advisory Board of Rally 2 Recovery.
Virginia Mendiola Executive Administrative Officer
Virginia Mendiola joined NDFW in September 2005. She earned an AA in Office Technology from Santa Ana College. Virginia has been an Executive Assistant for more than 20 years for attorneys, Vice Presidents and now the Executive Director/CEO of NDFW. She strives to “make her supervisor look good” and is a trusted and valued member of the New Directions for Women family.
Tania Bhattacharyya, Director of Development and Public Relations
Tania is responsible for the management of fundraising activities, including grants, fundraising events, social enterprises including Repeat Boutique, and our capital campaign. She has been with New Directions for Women since 2009, serving a variety of functions including coordination of all special events, marketing, and alumnae relations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California – Irvine.
Daniel J Buryj, Finance Director
As Finance Director, Daniel is responsible for all aspects of the organization relating to finances, budgeting, annual audit, physical plant and information technology. With more than twelve years of experience in nonprofit management and organizational development, he brings a strong passion for balancing an organization’s mission and financial position. Daniel has developed a strong integrated approach to increasing an organization’s efficiency and effectiveness through its operations, physical plant, technology and finances. Daniel has served as an Advisory Board Member of Young Nonprofit Professionals Network San Diego (YNPNSD), an organization which promotes an efficient, viable, and inclusive nonprofit sector that supports the growth, learning, and development of young professionals.
