A Highly Interactive and Experiential CEU Workshop with World Renown Founder and Trainer of Souldrama, Connie Miller
Souldrama® was developed by Connie Miller, NCC, LPC, TEP, as a therapeutic tool created for use as an adjunct to psychodrama and designed to move clients from co-dependency to co-creativity. Connie Miller travels all over the world, training practitioners on techniques of Souldrama. However, New Directions for Women would like to extend a once in a lifetime opportunity to be trained on this helpful tool. This workshop will begin to teach you how the new seven stage group action model of Souldrama® can be applied to the process of recovery.
Learn how to help your patients:
- Enhance their relationship with a Higher Power and put the 12 Steps into action
- Use Action sociometry to build group cohesion and enhance communication
- Utilize Doubling and role reversal as powerful tools for awareness of self and others:
- Role Play to explore challenging situations that arise on the path to sobriety and practice skills necessary to prevent relapse.
- Use experiential techniques to pass through the doors of souldrama as they access their spiritual and emotional intelligence.
- Use specific action warm ups to help focus on substance abuse related issues.
This 3 day workshop at the luxurious Glen Ivy Center in Corona, California will teach you effective ways to expand and enliven communication, learning, skill building and self- discovery in groups with those in recovery from chemical dependency.
